Plot: Ava Lungard is a Splinter-cell operative for an American based agency that heads one of the most covert multi-national Spec-Ops cooperatives on the planet -- currently immersed in an ongoing fight on behalf of U.S. Homeland Security to protect free enterprise from becoming hostage to corporate espionage and terrorism. Malcolm is her partner.

Ava's mother (Vivian Waters) was one of the most aggressive and forward thinking scientist of her day -- and the leading scientist at the agency.

Sometime during the process of developing EMP Resistant Nano-technology, she discovered a new (still relatively unknown to this day) type of Radiation within the Electromagnetic Spectrum. To simplify it, she found an undiscovered and unseen form of light within the light spectrum.

After a closer look, she quickly surmised that this discovery was made possible because of the EMP resistant properties of the Nano-bites themselves. Furthermore, when properly manipulated through a special algorithm that she wrote specifically for this purpose, these particular Nano-bites could be used to render something (or someone) completely invisible to the naked eye -- or to any other equipment known to man.

This was a huge and very dangerous discovery that Vivian decided for which mankind wasn't prepared. Because of the extreme possibilities of this kind of newfound technology, she made a personal and executive decision to hide the Nano-bites so as to keep them out of the wrong hands.

In a panic, she did the only thing that made sense to her, and injected them all into her daughter Ava, who was two years old at the time.

Realizing that extracting all 100% of them would require technology that was unavailable in that day -- and also fearing that information about the discovery itself might have already been leaked, she made preparations to disappear, and committed her good friend Carlton Taggert (who was in line to take over command of the agency) to shelter and give protection to Ava.

Of course Taggert agreed. The agency took Ava in, and raised her as one of their own.

For Ava's protection, Taggert spared no expense in her education and training -- which consisted of skills in advanced fighting and self-defense, psychological & tactical warfare, along with an exceptional level of proficiency in 12 of the 24 primary human language families, along with many other things that we are not authorized to divulge here.

Because information about the Nano-bites may have been leaked, Ava's last name was changed to Lundgard so that no one outside the agency would ever be able to connect her to Vivian, and subsequently trace the Nano-bites back to Ava.

So far, the secret to their whereabouts remains unknown to anyone outside of the highest level at the agency!

Ava and Malcolm's last phase of training will be to live away from the agency for 12 months during which they will learn to live in the real world and behave as normal people. But, the "real world" doesn't always offer a smooth ride, especially for these two!
